It’s been a long while since I last posted and I have seriously calmed things down over the past few years. I am much more relaxed in my style of trading and now spend most of my time out of the markets. I check the weekly charts still occasionally and if I spot something promising I will keep an eye on it and look for a good entry signal.
I will post these potential trades on here as a log, not as advice to anyone.
So this week I have my eye on the USD/CAD pair. The weekly chart shows a bullish engulfing bar after a few weeks of red bars.
Importantly too, this latest bullish engulfing bar has a long tail which just kisses the lower Bollinger band.
If we look back on the weekly, all the way back to 2016, we can see that this was a significant level at that time.

- BUEB Bullish Engulfing bar after several weekly bearish bars.
- Contact at the lower Bollinger band.

For me, I will not enter on the weekly chart, I will move to a lower time frame, say the 4 hourly and wait for a break of a downward trend line to enter. This method of entry will allow a tight stop on entry and then I will play out the trade on the weekly chart which should give a very high risk/reward ratio.
Anyway, the best of luck with your trades and as always, make your own trading decisions based on your own analysis and research.
